Leonhardthütte

Our newly built alpine cabin made of stone pine, spruce, and larch wood is located in the Saualpe area above the sunny village of Diex. From the Leonhardthütte, you have a magnificent view of the Görtschitztal valley all the way to the castle town of Friesach. Hiking trails into the Saualpe area, as well as to Hochfeistritz and Diex, lead right past the cabin. 

The Leonhardthütte is situated at 1,200 meters above sea level in a quiet, secluded location surrounded by forests and meadows. The sunbathing lawn in front of the cabin invites you to relax, slow down, and enjoy nature.

The cabin is very cozily furnished with beautiful wooden furniture and great attention to detail. Spread over two levels, there is space for 4 people, a spacious bathroom, and two toilets. Electricity is supplied by the photovoltaic system on the roof. For cooler days, there is a very beautiful tiled stove and infrared heating, making year-round rentals possible. 

Access by car is possible right up to the Leonhardthütte. Should you feel like a chat or some company, our organic farm is just a 10-minute walk away. We look forward to meeting our guests.
