Holzknechthütte is located next to a hiking route at an elevation of 900m above sea level. The peaceful location of the chalet allows to relax amidst nature and leave the stress behind. Edible mushrooms can be found nearby and sometimes deer pass by the chalet. With a little bit of luck, you can even hear the sounds of a mountain cock.

The chalet is the perfect starting point for various hikes in the area: Grenzpanoramaweg – Pongratzen – Remschniggalm – Radlpaß.
