Hansalhof

The Hansalhof is quietly situated at the edge of the forest in Mariapfarr in Salzburger Land, right in the heart of the Lungau region. At an altitude of 1,120 meters above sea level, in the Lungau Biosphere Park and south of the main ridge of the Alps, you will enjoy relaxation, nature, and plenty of sunshine. The town center is only a few minutes' walk away, and the wonderful location makes the farm an ideal holiday destination for relaxing and active days off.

🐴 Experience the Farm & Animals

At the farm, you can expect authentic farm life with warm hospitality and many animals. Cattle, pigs, chickens, sheep, and horses are part of daily life. Especially popular are pony riding, riding lessons, lunge lessons, and trail rides through the Lungau nature. The Icelandic horse breeding is also a special part of our farm. In addition to agriculture, the well-known „Lungauer Ächtlinge“ are cultivated – a regional specialty. Depending on the season, guests can enjoy farm products such as milk, eggs, and jams. In summer, many animals spend the warm season on the alpine pasture in Weißpriachtal – guests are welcome to experience this special event. Folk music with alphorn, accordion, and brass instruments is also part of daily farm life.

🏡 History of the Farm

The traditional ancestral farm has existed since 1661 and has been lovingly managed for 13 generations. Since 1991, the Hansalhof has been run organically. In 2011, the farm already celebrated its 350th anniversary.

The 3 cozy holiday apartments accommodate 2 to 6 people and are ideal for families, couples, and friends. As a highlight, all guests receive free entry to the Mariapfarr outdoor pool, to the sauna facilities of the SAMSUNN Vital and Wellness Center, as well as the LungauCard in summer and the WinterbonusCard in winter. The free ski bus stop is only 300 meters away.

In summer, hiking trails, alpine pastures, and mountain tours around Mariapfarr invite you to active holiday days. Cycling, horseback riding, and excursions in the Lungau Biosphere Park ensure varied experiences.

In winter, the ski resorts Fanningberg, Großeck-Speiereck, Aineck-Katschberg, and Obertauern are very close by. Cross-country skiing, winter hiking, tobogganing, and snowshoeing make the holiday special. A highlight is the snow-sure Lignitztal high-altitude cross-country ski trail in Mariapfarr.
