Im Bootshaus Orlamünde können Schlauchboote gemietet werden. Hier starten die Schlauchboottouren auf der Saale nach Jena und hier enden die Schlauchboottouren auf der Saale, die in Rudolstadt starten. Außerdem bietet dieser Wasserwander-Rastplatz auf halbem Weg zwischen Rudolstadt und Jena Platz zum Übernachten im eigenen Zelt, mit dem Reisemobil oder im Tipi-Zelt sowie Duschmöglichkeiten. Ein Bauwagen für 2 Personen ist ebenfalls vorhanden. Fleischer, Eisdiele und Pizzeria sind nach ca. 10 Minuten Fußmarsch zu erreichen. Der familienfreundliche Campingplatz bietet Sitzplätze, Grillhütte, Feuerschalen und liegt zwischen zwei Spielplätzen.
