La câțiva metri de stația meteo Iezer, lângă Lacul Iezer, respectiv sub vârful Pietrosul Rodnei, există un loc plat, semnalizat ca loc potrivit pentru campare.

Aici încap circa 3, 4 corturi, iar locul e perfect ca punct intermediar dacă planifici sau te întorci într-o tură mai lungă în Munții Rodnei. Apă se poate lua din pârâul apropiat sau de la Salvamont.
