Wolfratshausen ist mit der S-Bahn an den Münchner Verkehrsverbund (MVV) angeschlossen und so bequem zu erreichen. Die Linie S7 fährt alle 20 Minuten ab dem Münchner Hauptbahnhof nach Wolfratshausen, die Fahrtdauer beträgt 40 Minuten. Die Altstadt mit der St. Andreas Kirche ist dann innerhalb von 15 Minuten zu erreichen.

Wolfratshausen liegt 30 km südlich von München, mitten in der oberbayerischen Ferienregion Tölzer Land. Mit dem Auto oder dem hervorragend ausgebauten Bahn- und Busnetz sind die umliegenden Ausflugsziele nur ein Katzensprung entfernt. Die Münchner Innenstadt erreicht man komfortabel mit der S-Bahn. Kurzum, Wolfratshausen ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in das vielseitige Oberbayern.
