Located near Fuchskaute, the highest peak of the Westerwald, at the foot of Höllberg, lies Heisterberger Weiher in picturesque Westerwald landscape.

Attached to Heisterberger Weiher is a campsite with modern, disabled-accessible sanitary facilities, which is open year-round and popular with day and long-term campers.

There are also designated motorhome parking spaces in the front area of the recreation area.

A children's playground and volleyball court are available.

The water surface of 9.6 hectares invites swimming, and water sports are offered by the on-site boat rental.

On the spacious sunbathing lawns, you can forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The offer is rounded off by a restaurant with a kiosk.

In the summer, cycling and hiking trails expand the recreational offerings. On the first Saturday in August, the traditional "Heisterberger Weiher in Flames" takes place, during which the pond shines in the glow of a huge firework display.

With the "Skilift Höllkopf" at the Höllberg, located above the area, and cross-country skiing trails, there are corresponding recreational opportunities for winter sports.

Welcome to the Fun Water Park at Heisterberger Weiher

The first Wibit water park in Hesse was officially opened in 2018 in the Heisterberger Weiher recreation area and attracts not only children and teenagers but also sports enthusiasts and school classes.

Over 450 square meters of fun water park area entice with water attractions such as wiggle discs, rodeo slides, trampolines, and plenty of curves.

A huge fun for the whole family – even on cooler days, nothing stands in the way of enjoyment! We look forward to your visit!
