A landmark with history – and heart
Our distinctive landmark, the 22-meter-high tower of the former iron ore mine "Georg Joseph", is so well-known that it has even made it to Wikipedia. Today, it serves as the main building and reception of our campsite – and also houses two cozy holiday rooms for guests seeking relaxation.
Pure nature – yet well connected
Our campsite is unique in many ways: It is located in the most scenic part of the Lahn, embedded in lush nature, surrounded by river, meadows, and trees. And still, you can reach Weilburg or Limburg quickly, as the nearby Gräveneck train station provides convenient connections – all without the stress of a caravan.
Campfire romance & family-friendliness
After an eventful day, a little campfire romance is just what you need: Our spacious tent meadow offers several fire pits – perfect for grilling sausages, bread on a stick, or marshmallows. Your children will love it – and so will you!
In general, family-friendliness is highly valued here – and this naturally applies to four-legged family members as well. Dogs are warmly welcome!
Despite all the liveliness, we emphasize a pleasant night's rest, so all guests can start the next day refreshed – completely free of any party-pooper atmosphere.

Directions
Arrival by Train
For traveling by train, the Weinbach-Gräveneck Station on the Gießen – Wetzlar – Limburg – Koblenz route is recommended. The Lahntalbahn is an attractive alternative to driving – not only for arrival but also for excursions throughout the entire Lahn Valley.
Especially convenient: The station is ideal for groups who want to deliver their boats upstream and travel to the starting point by train – or vice versa: start directly from the campsite and get off at a train station further downstream.
Bicycles can also be taken on the Lahntalbahn – perfect for extensive bike tours along the Lahn!
