optional end-of-stay cleaning charge of 70 euros.
The deposit will be returned when the keys are handed over. In the event of damage or cleaning not carried out, the costs will be deducted from the deposit.
This gite, with recent renovations, was opened in November 2022.
The gîte du forgeron is located in the center of the picturesque village of Saint-Hippolyte, which is ideally situated at the foot of the Haut-Koenigsbourg castle on the Alsace Wine Route.
This typical family village house (100 m2) with terrace, for 6 to 8 people, is distributed over two floors and comprises 3 bedrooms for 2 people, a living/dining room with a sofa bed for 2 people, a living room with TV, 2 bathrooms (one with a walk-in shower) and a fully-equipped kitchen.
The 2-storey gîte has an enclosed bicycle garage.
Stay from 4 nights for 7 nights or more -8% (all year)
Arrival possible any day of the week. Preference is given to booking and payment via various rental websites.
Facilities: washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, blender/mixer, raclette + pierrade equipment, free high-speed WIFI, closed bicycle garage, nearby parking, cot and high chair available.
The gîte is non-smoking and pets are not allowed. The accommodation is not accessible to people with reduced mobility.
All bed, household and bathroom linen, as well as tourist tax and other charges, are included in the rental price. Bed linen and towels provided. A welcome gift awaits you on arrival, for a one-week stay.
Located in the heart of the village, the gîte is close to shops (bakery, butcher's, grocer's).
The Gîte du Forgeron's position at the junction of the Haut-Rhin and Bas-Rhin regions offers a multitude of cultural and/or natural sites to visit, such as the Volerie des aigles or the Montagne des singes, as well as magnificent towns such as Riquewihr, Colmar, Bergheim, Obernai... where you can appreciate the beauty of the various typical festivals throughout the seasons, as well as their Christmas markets.
It's a 30-minute drive from Strasbourg, 56 minutes from Basel and 20 minutes from Colmar.
It's an ideal base for hiking on the Vosges Club trails, or cycling on the cycle paths of the Route des Vins or the roads of the Vosges Massif, discovering typical villages and local festivals, magnificent mussées and castles.
