Karvia´s idyllic countryside milieu offers you the place to experience the power of the rapids, relax in the shade of the lean-to shelter, and be calm at the events of the past. For bird lovers, the Kärpäsneva bird tower is the perfect place to see abundant bird species, and the beautiful rapids invite the hiker to listen to the sound of water.

Karvia is northernmost municipality of Satakunta. The neighboring municipalities are Kankaanpää, Kauhajoki, Kurikka and Parkano. Karvia is located on the Suomenselkä. The highest point rises 186 meters above sea level in Kauraharju. The landscape consists of cloth forests with groundwater areas and bogs with peat production. Lakes and rivers cross the landscape. The preservation of primary livelihoods in Karvia is reflected in fertile fields and grazing herds.
