Bardonecchia and its four valleys (Valle Stretta, Valle della Rho, Valle del Frejus, and Vallone di Rochemolles) offer a plethora of alternatives for those who enjoy walking in the mountains: trails, mule tracks, and military roads, from the valley floor to the mountain peaks, from 1300 to 3500 meters, suitable for all enthusiasts, from those who prefer to simply walk, to the careful hiker, to the most demanding mountaineer, stopping at refuges and stopover places and visiting the many mountain pastures.
Sunny routes, walks through fir and larch forests, and routes to peaks from which one can enjoy beautiful views.
There are several starting points from which to undertake a hike: the Colle della Scala, the Refuges of the Valle Stretta, Pian del Colle, Melezet, Les Arnauds, Campo Smith, Borgo Vecchio, Millaures, Gleise, Frejusia Basins, and Rochemolles.
