The Northern Way (Camino del Norte) is one of the most spectacular routes of the Camino de Santiago. It runs parallel to the Cantabrian coast, through wild beaches, cliffs, green hills, and villages full of character. Less crowded than the French Way, it’s perfect if you’re looking for a quieter but equally intense experience.
Although physically more demanding due to its terrain, it rewards you with breathtaking landscapes, excellent cuisine, and the chance to discover hidden gems like Mondoñedo, Sobrado dos Monxes, or the Villaviciosa estuary.
Ideal for those who have already done another Camino and want something different, or for those who value connection with nature, local culture, and the silence of true pilgrimage.
