Three countries - one trail: hike the border triangle between Switzerland, France and Germany and get to know a fascinating and varied part of Europe!
The three major hiking clubs in the region, Wanderwege beider Basel, the Vosges Club and the Black Forest Association, have been jointly managing this cross-border trail since the 1980s, which has now been revised and re-marked, inviting you to discover the three-country region!
The Interregio hiking trail allows hikers to experience the border triangle on the Upper and Upper Rhine. Between the Black Forest, Southern Vosges and Jura, the 210 km long circular hiking trail leads in eleven daily stages around Basel, opening up the Markgräflerland and the High Rhine near Rheinfelden, the Basel region and the Sundgau south of Mulhouse. The trail crosses the Rhine twice and offers an insight into a region of Europe that is worth seeing in terms of landscape, culture and economy.
