The Ridge Route on the Goldsteig: approx. 90 km, 5 days
On the Goldsteig route across the mountain ridges of the National Park’s core area, overnight stays in mountain huts are possible, though not in all huts and ONLY after prior reservation by phone! To find lodging, you can also leave the main trail and descend to the villages via the marked National Park trails.
Tip: If the ridge route is too strenuous for you, you can hike the alternative route through the national park from Bayerisch Eisenstein via Zwiesel, Frauenau, Spiegelau, St. Oswald Riedlhütte, and Neuschönau to Mauth.
