Operating the map in 3D
In the App
On the Web / On the Desktop
Click and hold the right mouse button to adjust the 3D view: Moving up and down tilts the map. Alternatively, you can also tilt the map using the slider below the 3D button to adjust your viewing angle.
Rotate the map by holding down the right mouse button and moving your mouse to the right and left. The compass in the top right corner shows you the direction you’re facing. If you move your mouse over it, two buttons will appear that let you rotate the map in small increments. Clicking the compass realigns the map to face north.
You can change the zoom level as usual using the mouse wheel or the two zoom buttons.
How to switch between base maps and additional layers
For example, display the trail network for your activity directly on the 3D map. Or switch to the satellite map and also view the photo layer with real images from the community. It’s entirely up to you!
Good to know
- If the slider is at the top, the flattest viewing angle is set and the relief is most clearly visible. The view from above is set when the slider is at the bottom.
- 3D mode is only available on maps that show a 3D button. 3D mode is currently not available in the Route Planner.
- 3D mode is also only available for Pro+ users.
