Catering on weekends from April to the end of September by Asselheimer winemakers and associations
The wine hiking cabin on the Asselheimer Goldberg is a popular excursion destination. For hikers, it is located directly on the hiking trail "German Wine Route," on the "Grünstadter Himmelspfad," and on the connecting path to the "Palatinate Wine Trail."
On weekends and holidays, Asselheim winemakers and associations invite you to enjoy a pleasant stay in the cabin. Look forward to regional specialties and exquisite Asselheim wines in a charming setting.
As a shelter, it is open to visitors at any time: both the indoor area and the outdoor facilities can be used year-round as a resting and gathering place.
Here, one can find peace and relaxation in a cozy atmosphere amidst the sea of vines. In clear weather conditions, there is a magnificent view of the Rhine Valley and the Odenwald.

Location: In the vineyards above 67269 Grünstadt-Asselheim.
By train: to the Asselheim stop, then walk under the railway bridge, down the Langgasse (town center), past the sports field, following the hiking trail "German Wine Route" exactly as marked to the wine hiking cabin (about 30 minutes on foot).
By car: down the Langgasse (town center) to the parking lot (on the right side opposite the sports field); from there, it is a pleasant 20-minute walk to the cabin (signage: hiking trail "German Wine Route"). Driving on the farm roads is not permitted.
Opening times
The wine hiking hut is open from April until the end of September, on Saturdays from 12 p.m. and on Sundays and public holidays from 10 a.m.
During the Asselheim festival, the hut remains closed.

Directions
By train to the Asselheim stop, then walk under the railway bridge

By car drive down Langgasse (town center) to the parking lot (on the
right side opposite the sports field); driving on the wine hiking trail is not
allowed. From the parking lot to the hut it takes a cozy 20
minutes on foot.
