Pfalz Forest Lodge at House Mountain Neustadt's "Weinbiet" with regional specialties and the good "Gimmeldinger Schoppen". The Weinbiethaus offers approx. 200 seats indoors and 100 seats outdoors. Here you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Rhine Plain in a beautiful open area.

During the opening hours of the Weinbiethaus, the Weinbiet tower is also open. The observation deck of the Weinbiet tower offers an unobstructed panoramic view. Closed rooms are available for groups of up to 100 people.
The Weinbiethaus was planned starting in 1925 and was constructed from red sandstone for 15,000 Reichsmark beginning in 1926. It was inaugurated on June 3, 1928. It is operated by the Pfälzerwald-Verein, local group Gimmeldingen, as an excursion restaurant.
The Weinbiethaus, located within the forest boundary of the Neustadt district Gimmeldingen, stands at 554 m above sea level on the summit plateau of the eponymous Weinbiet, which belongs to the Haardt, the eastern edge of the Pfälzerwald. In the immediate vicinity are the masonry Weinbiet tower and the 136 m high lattice mast of the Weinbiet transmitter.
Since May 2025, the Weinbiethaus has been permanently operated by the team of "biokischd" from Landau. The founders Isaak Hünerfauth and Sebastian Schels have transformed the house into a bio-certified pop-up restaurant that offers regional cuisine with bio-certified ingredients as well as many vegan and vegetarian dishes. Cultural events such as concerts in the Palatine dialect are also part of the offerings. Their goal is to revive the hut culture in the Pfälzerwald. The Weinbiethaus is accessible year-round.
