Rooms
The Turtmannhütte offers 72 beds in shared rooms and dormitories, all equipped with Nordic down comforters. You must bring your own silk or linen sleeping bag; if you don't have one, you can buy one at the hut or rent one for a fee. Reservations are made via an online reservation system, which is why overnight stays should be booked in advance if possible. For personal hygiene, there are two gender-separated washing troughs with cold running water and a fountain behind the hut. In the unattended periods, a shelter with sleeping places and a simple kitchen with gas stove and dishes is available as emergency accommodation; there is no heating and water must be obtained outside the hut. Due to the high alpine location, it is worth reading the current information from the hut team before visiting.Food and drink
The kitchen at the Turtmannhütte is known for its homemade soups and the airy Black Forest hut cake. During the day, simple dishes such as the hut platter are served, while in the evening a multi-course menu with produce from the hut warden's garden, meat from the house butcher and carefully selected Valais wines are on offer.Sleeping beds

Public transport
Take the train to Turtmann station, walk to the valley station of the Turtmann-Oberems cable car, continue by train to Oberems and take the post bus to Gruben/Meiden or, on request, to the end of the road in Senntum; the ascent to the hut begins from there.Get Timetable to destination
Directions
From Gruben/Meiden, a well-marked trail leads across alpine meadows and along the Turtmannsee lake to the Turtmannhütte in around three hours and with an elevation gain of around 730 meters. If you start in Senntum, follow the valley path towards the reservoir and then climb up to the hut on the hiking trail.Parking
In the hamlet of Senntum at the end of the road in the Turtmann Valley are the only parking spaces where cars can be parked for longer than three hours. The spaces are subject to charges and are paid for with coins or via Twint and serve as the official parking lot for the ascent to the Turtmannhütte.Coordinates
