Following its recent renovation, the Tierbergli hut offers around 78 beds in several large mattress dormitories, equipped with comforters. You are required to bring your own silk sleeping bag, and hut shoes are available in the entrance area. The sanitary facilities include simple washrooms and separate dry and composting toilets; there are no showers. Reservations are compulsory; changes or cancellations should generally be notified up to two days before the overnight stay. From 10 p.m. onwards, it is quiet at night and breakfast is served early in the morning so that rope teams can set off early. Payment is preferably made in cash, but major debit and credit cards are also accepted. A small shelter with a few sleeping places and no cooking facilities is available outside of service hours. Dogs are not allowed in the hut for reasons of hygiene.Food and drink
During the manned season, the hut team offers half board with dinner at around 6.30 pm, breakfast and tea on the hike. During the day between around 11.00 am and 4.00 pm, simple hot meals and cakes made from regional Haslital produce are served, as well as a packed lunch for the tour on request.Sleeping beds

If you take the car to the Umpol parking lot (for a fee) or choose the Tierbergli via ferrata, the walking time is reduced to around two hours, but you remain in high alpine terrain.Parking
The typical starting point by car is the Steingletscher mountain hotel or the Umpol parking lot on the Sustenpass road, from where you can access the Tierbergli hut. The Sustenpass road is closed above Obermad in winter; up-to-date road information should be obtained before setting off.Coordinates
