in the Untersulzbachtal
In the Untersulzbachtal at 1265 metres above the sea level lies the Stockeralm at the foot of the great Finagl (2730m). In the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park, you have a wonderful view of the Venediger Group on your way to it. It was the first alp in the valley to be built in 1976 and was used for alpine farming until 1990. Now 25 cows and 3 ponies graze the whole summer on our alpine meadows. Today the Stockeralm is a refuge with overnight accomodation. It serves as a starting point for further tours into the Untersulzbachtal. Discover the originally of alpine life by candlelight and campfire romance, accompanied by the sound of the original mountain strean located directly at the alp.
The Stockeralm is also easily accessible for families (suitable for orams), less experienced hikers and mountain bikers via a varied hiking trail along the crystal-clear Untersulzbach strem. Strengthen yourself onf your hike with frehs homemade specialities from the region, especially popular are game dishes from our own hunt, bacon and alpine cheese. Also a homemade cake with coffee invites you to stay. The lovingly renovated guest rooms also invite you to a longer stay. There is also the possibility to accompany a very experienced hunter on the hunt. The quiet and familiar atmosphere make a stay on the Stockeralm a special experience.

OUR ALMs SPECIALITIES:
With a unique, breathtaking view of the Kleinvenediger, the Stockeralm is a place of strength to linger. We love to spoil our guests with homemade bacon, Kaiserschmarrn and game specialties from our own hunt. Sepp and Michaela, the dog Napoleon, 3 petting ponies and 25 cows are looking forward to your visit. We are happy to organize celebrations (birthday, campfire party) with folk music by local musicians on request. Hut with overnight accommodation: 12 beds

HOW TO REACH US:
From the center of Neukirchen from the Wanderhotel Gassner via the Einöd Bridge 1.5 hours
From Gasthof Schütthof, from the Untersulzbachtal entrance via waterfall 2 hours Or comfortably with the valley taxi from the center of Neukirchen to the Stockeralm
KIDS-ALM: The Alm is especially suitable for children (e.g. wooden play equipment, petting zoo, themed or adventure hiking trails etc.)
KIDSBUGGY-ALM: The Alm is easily reached with a kid's buggy via a forest path.
MTB-ALM: An official Mountain Bike trail leads to the Alm.
