A hut with a shallow depth but a continuous bench along the rear long side, without a table. Above it is a large nameplate indicating the elevation.
It stands at a prominent trail junction with a four-way signpost. From the hut, you have an unobstructed view across the meadows toward the Landskrone, the highest destination of the second stage of the Eifel-Ostweg. If you reach the hut at the right time of year, the sunflowers planted to the right of the trail are in full bloom, glowing bright yellow.
