Accessibility
by carDirections
By off-road vehicle:
- from Bardonecchia take the provincial road 235 that enters the Rochemolles Valley and follow it for 6 km until you reach Rochemolles. Up to here the road is a bit narrow but all paved, after that it becomes unpaved. Continuing, the road climbs in hairpin bends until, after about 5 km, it reaches the Rochemolles Dam; skirt the Dam and proceed for another 4 km until you reach the Scarfiotti Refuge, located in the middle of the Grange du Fond plateau.
On foot:
- In summer from the train station take the free Line 6 shuttle to Rochemolles. For shuttle schedules click here.
Continue on foot first along the dirt road following the hairpin bends and then taking the path that leads to the Rochemolles Dam; skirt the dam and continue along the path that occasionally cuts through the hairpin bends until you reach the Scarfiotti Refuge.
