Situato a 1.520 metri di altitudine il Rifugio Monte Aiona è un punto di riferimento per escursionisti, appassionati di montagna e famiglie in visita al Parco Naturale Regionale dell’Aveto.
Inaugurato nel 2017 dopo un importante intervento di ristrutturazione, il rifugio è stato progettato per offrire un'accoglienza confortevole e sostenibile. È dotato di impianti a energie rinnovabili, tra cui pannelli fotovoltaici e un sistema di riscaldamento a biomasse legnose, garantendo un basso impatto ambientale.
La struttura dispone di 24 posti letto, con possibilità di ampliamento fino a 40, e offre camere dotate di riscaldamento e servizi comuni. È anche attrezzata con un locale invernale per l'uso durante la stagione fredda. Il rifugio è gestito dalla C2D s.n.c. di Simone DeMarchi & C., con il supporto del Club Alpino Italiano (CAI) Sezione Ligure.
