Piccola struttura immersa nel borsco, questo rifugio/bivacco è un angolo di paradiso circondato dal verde dell'entroterra ligure
Recuperato nel 1993 per opera della Guardia Antincendi Sant'Olcese che si è fatta promotrice della ristrutturazione di una parte dei ruderi dell'antico borgo di Ciaè, negli stessi interventi è stato realizzato il Rifugio Escursionistico e valorizzare la rete sentieristica locale - in particolare il Sentiero Botanico - collegandola all’Alta Via.
Oggi il Rifugio (non custodito) è dotato di 16 posti letto distribuiti in due strutture, cucina attrezzata, servizi, doccia calda. A disposizione, anche spazi aperti adibiti ad area pic-nic.
