Das Refuge Astraka wurde 2004 renoviert und erweitert und bietet jetzt Platz für 51 Personen.
Die Hütte ist im Sommer von Mai bis Oktober geöffnet. Im Winter ist nach Rücksprache mit dem Wirt eine Öffnung für größere Gruppen möglich. Es gibt keinen Winterraum.
