Puez hut is a great hut to visit on dayhikes from Selva or from Gardena pass, and can also be a very nice stop for lunch when hiking between Selva and the Alta Badia region.
Sitting at 2475 meters, it is pretty high in the mountains, and therefore not always open on the edges of the season. Their open season is typically late June to mid-September. If you are not sure they will be open, it's a good idea to call and check.
Puez has rooms and dorm, if you are staying the night, but most hikers on our tours will be stopping in for lunch. They have tons of outdoor seating and plenty of indoor seating as well, and an efficient waitstaff to make sure you are well cared for.
