Die Pleisenhütte wurde Anfang 1950 erbaut und liegt auf 1757 m südwestlich unterhalb der Pleisenspitze, hoch über der Ortschaft Scharnitz mit Blick auf die Gipfel des Karwendel- und Wettersteingebirges. Anfang 1980 wurde die Hütte ausgebaut und wir seither von Wanderern gerne besucht. Auf der Sonnenterrasse der bewirteten Hütte genießt man das traumhafte Panorama.
