Auf dem Weg zu Steiner Alm

Die Moar Alm liegt auf 816 Metern Höhe an der Nordseite des Pidinger Hausberges Hochstaufen auf einer leicht abfallenden Hangstufe. Von Piding Urwies führt ein breiter Weg hinauf zur Moar Alm. Dieser Weg wird auch als Zustieg zum Pidinger Klettersteig genutzt. Der Weg führt weiter zur Steiner Alm. Auch mit dem Mountainbike kann man die Alm erreichen: Sie liegt an der Strecke der Berchtesgadener Mountainbike-Tour 21: Steiner Alm Runde



Die Moar Alm wird nicht mehr landwirtschaftlich genutzt. Die Hütte samt Umgriff wird von den Berg- und Sportfreunden Feldkirchen e. V. gepachtet und ist nicht bewirtet. Einmal im Jahr wird am Samstag nach der Sommersonnwende eine Bergmesse am Baumannkreuz gefeiert mit anschließendem Almfest bei der Hütte.
