The farm's own alpine pasture is one of almost 40 managed alpine huts in Grossarltal, which lives up to its name "The Valley of the Alms". The hut is located at 1,624m above sea level, was rebuilt in 1927 and renovated between 1990-1995. Since 1995, the Alm has been farmed again with 9-10 dairy cows, with all of the milk being processed into butter, buttermilk and various types of cheese.
The dairymen pamper their guests with homemade delicacies and particularly exquisite schnapps such as elderberry and rowan. People also like to sing and make music.

The hut is open from the beginning of June to October! The hut is closed in winter!

Directions
Arrival by car via the Tauern Autobahn A10 - exit Pongau and then via Alpendorf OR you take the exit Flachau and travel via Wagrain. The easiest way to get to the hut is from the mountain stations of the Alpendorfbahn in Alpendorf and the Grafenbergbahnen in Wagrain (approx. 1 hour each).Parking
