Malga Clef
Nestled among the larches, at the base of the Val de Ribor, stands Malga Clef, a small paradise inhabited by cows and sheep that graze freely in the surrounding meadows. This is the home of Andrea who, for many years, has been a cheesemaker: with love he takes care of his animals and produces exquisite cheeses from their milk. Not far from this quiet corner you can visit a beautiful lake, called "Lago del Lares", which holds a huge larch submerged. As evidence that this place is really the home of these trees, there is also a centuries-old larch in the vicinity so large that more people are needed to embrace it.
STRENGTH:
Not far from the hut you can also visit the military cemetery that houses the fallen of the First World War, who fought on the nearby slopes of Cima Pissola and in the Piana di Bosco. A place full of historical memory, which evokes the sacrifice and tragedy of those distant days.
