From the hut there is a beautiful view on the Postojna Basin (Postojnska kotlina) with Postojna and on the mountains which surround it. On the east side one can see the extensive slopes of Javorniki, on their right is the ridge which spreads towards the valley of the Pivka with Savič, Sv. Trojica (the Holy Trinity) and Veliki vrh, and behind rises Snežnik; on the south behind the Postojna Basin are the woody peaks of Ravnik and Vremščica, and even more southwards Brkini and Slavnik; on the west side above the Postojna Basin rises the ridge of Nanos with Pleša and Suhi vrh; on the northwest is the woody Hrušica with the grassy peak Sv. Lovrenc on its south edge, behind Hrušica one can see Idrijski Javornik.
The hut is located on the south slope a little above the peak of Pečna reber (763 m). In the restaurant area there are 32 seats and a bar counter; there are 20 seats at the tables at the terrace in front of the hut; there is no accommodation; the restaurant area is heated by the stove; toilets, rain water, electricity.

Directions
By Car:from Postojna along the road Javorniška cesta to the turning-off of the short road to the left and along it to the hut 4km, there is the asphalt all the way. The RS, BS Postojna: from the RS 30, from the BS 40 minutes.
By bus:
Bus station Postojna, to the hut - 30 min.
Bus station Rakek Jelka, via Rakov Škocjan and Veliki Javornik - 5 h 30.
Bus station Cerknica, via Veliki Javornik - 5 h.
Bus station Petelinje, via Slovensko vas and Sv. Trojica - 4 h 45.
By train:
Railway station Postojna, to the hut - 20 min.
Railway station Rakek, via Rakov Škocjan and Veliki Javornik - 5 h 30.
