The Holzerböden Alpine Inn is a beautifully situated stop where hikers can—upon request—spend the night in a dormitory, a room, or on a bed of hay. Staying overnight is particularly ideal for those who—coming from the Keilbachjoch—want to continue along the Ahrntal Smugglers’ Trails on the high-altitude alpine trail to the Waldneralm, or who are hiking the Mayrhofen–Merano long-distance trail.
