Hanslberg Hut
This small, simple cabin is beautifully situated between Matting and Oberndorf. It is located in an ecologically valuable “Natura 2000” area. Many protected plant and animal species call this place home. It’s an ideal place to relax near Regensburg and unwind far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The cabin is also a popular choice for small gatherings.
The cabin's amenities:
- Commonroom for about 25 people
- Dormitory in the attic, 11 beds
- Lighting powered by solar energy
- Heating via a cast-iron stove; a stack of firewood is located near the cabin
- Cooking: a two-burner gas stove is available
- Dishes are provided for about 20 people
- Water (including for cleaning) must be brought along
- Access —the hut is accessible only on foot (about 15 minutes from Oberndorf)
The Hanslberg Hut was built in 1926 by the section’s youth group.

Directions
Via Bad Abbach or Matting to the sports field in Oberndorf (parking lot). Across the street, right next to the transformer station (Diessinger Weg), head steeply uphill. Behind an oak tree, turn left through the woods directly to the cabin (about 10 min.)
Parking
Regarding parking, guests are welcome to contact us in advance by email (vorstand@turnverein-oberndorf.de)—if there are no home games or events scheduled—it may be possible to park on our premises. However, this must be cleared with the board beforehand.
