It rises on a rocky relief overlooking beautiful Lago Lungo, at the head of the Pellice Valley, near the headwaters of the Pellice River.
Rifugio Battaglione Alpini Monte Granero, known simply as Rifugio Granero, stands at Lago Lungo (Adrech del Laus) at the bottom of Val Pellice, about an hour from the French border. At the foot of Mount Granero, at an elevation of m. 2377, it is the oldest of the Alpine Refuges: the oldest part of the structure dates from 1926.
Renovated and expanded in the early 1990s, it has 48 beds, with services, showers and restaurant service for 50. The facility is equipped with public and emergency telephones, hot showers, toilets, electricity and Wi-Fi. Continuity of management has allowed and still allows for continuous improvement of services offered.
A bivouac was recently built near the Refuge, which is always open during the winter period as a support and shelter point for ski mountaineers and climbers.
OPENING: mid-June - mid-September (period may vary depending on weather conditions)

The time taken is the same for both paths.
Option 2 It is possible to buy an ascent ticket (at the trattoria in villanova) that allows you to continue and drive up to the parking area in the basin, following the specific ascent and descent times that can be consulted on the Bobbio Pellice municipality website.
Option 3 Drive up to Rifugio Barbara and then continue on foot for a 2-3 hour walk via the Manzol pass.
Option 4 By E-Bike it is possible to reach us by following the Larch Trail that from the hamlet Partia d'Amount in the Prà basin leads up to us.
