Die Gollinghütte bietet sich Alpinfreunden als Tourenziel, Übernachtungsstützpunkt und Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen in den Schladminger Tauern an.
Vor dem Talschluss des Gollingkessel auf der Oberen Steinwenderalm gelegen, präsentiert sich die geräumige, komfortable Hütte vor der mächtigen Kulisse des "Königs der Schladminger Tauern" in einem natürlichen Amphitheater. Hier, inmitten der schroffen, beeindruckenden Bergwelt, ist sie der gemütliche Stützpunkt für die Besteigung des Hochgolling oder die weltberühmte Klafferkesseltour sowie Etappenziel für Begeher des Tauernhöhenweges in Richtung Landawirsee- und Keinprechthütte.
