Das Rifugio del Freo vor dem Pania della Croce

Das Rifugio des Freo befindet sich in einem offenen Tal mit zahlreichen Quellen, Wiesen, Moorgebieten und Buchen- und Nadelwäldern. Die Hütte liegt am Fuße des Pania della Croce, der "Königin der Apuanischen Alpen". Das umliegende Gebiet ist von weitläufigen Höhlensystemen durchzogen, die teilweise auch besichtigt werden können. Die Hütte ist als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und Klettertouren im Umkreis des Monte Corchia und Pania della Croce gut geeignet.

Geöffnet von Mitte Juni bis Mitte September jeden Tag, den Rest des Jahres an Wochenenden, Feiertagen und nach Vereinbarung für Gruppen ab 10 Personen
