Wenige Meter rechts des Gebäudes befindet sich der Grenzstein Nr. 1 (2843 m). Hier trafen bis zum ersten Weltkrieg drei Staaten und drei Sprachgebiete aufeinander. Dementsprechend hat der Berg auch drei Namen.
Der deutsche Name ‚Dreisprachenspitze’ unterstreicht das Zusammentreffen von 3 unterschiedlichen Sprachräumen: italienisch, ladinisch und deutsch.
Von der Terrasse aus kann man die gewaltigen und mächtigen Gipfel des Ortler und Cevedalemassivs mit dem Piz Bernina, den Weisskugel und den Piz Buin bewundern.
Die Hütte ist mit Zimmern im rustikalen Stil, Bar, Restaurant mit typischer Küche (Reservierungen erwünscht) und Mountainbike-Depot für Biker ausgestattet.
Historisch interessierte Spaziergänger und Wanderer können sich anhand von Schautafeln entlang gut markierter Wege über den Verlauf der Ortlerfront während des 1. Weltkrieges informieren.
