Fraganter Youth Hostel

The Fraganter Youth Hostel is a self-catering cabin with an adventurous atmosphere.

Experience an unforgettable stay at this alpine youth center at an impressive altitude of 1,800 meters, nestled in the breathtaking Goldberg Group.

The cabin’s seclusion creates a “mini-isolation” that quickly fosters closer relationships and helps groups leave their everyday lives behind more quickly. As a self-catering lodge, cooking together and managing daily life at the lodge are just as much a part of the program as the opportunity to dive into outdoor adventures, both big and small! Being self-sufficient in the context of adventure fosters independence, encourages personal responsibility, and strengthens group cohesion. The hut offers the space to be independent, save money, live more sustainably, and grow personally.

For groups that are unable to be self-sufficient due to a very intensive training program, we work together to find a solution. For example, by collaborating with the nearby Fraganter Schutzhaus or by arranging for a cooking team.

The hut:

Self-catering hut with an adventurous atmosphere (including a modern self-catering kitchen + dining areas [separate for staff and participants])
New, accessible building (ground floor)
Large multipurpose room (approx. 90 m²) including projector and screen

Streams and small waterfalls for river hikes
Outdoor bivouac area for building shelters
Table tennis table and indoor/board games
Equipment available for rent on-site (sleeping pads, climbing gear, slackline, Jacob’s ladder, etc.)
