The "Esthaler Bänke" rest area is idyllically situated in the middle of the Palatinate Forest.
The "Esthaler Bänke" can be reached via the circular hiking trail 9 and via the "Pfälzer Hüttensteig" hiking trail. The starting point is the railway station in Weidenthal. There are also parking facilities here.
You can also follow the Palatinate Forest trail, white/red bar - the starting point here is the Eselsohl hikers' car park (located on the K38).
In bad weather you can find shelter here in a refuge. But there is also a nice rest area here. An ideal place for an extensive picnic.
The Esthal benches cannot be reached by car, but only on foot.
Opening times
The "Esthaler Benches" can be used all year round.
