Mitten im Tiroler Karwendelgebirge liegt das Almdorf Eng auf 1.250 m Seehöhe, geformt durch jahrhundertelange bäuerliche Bewirtschaftung. Eingebettet in die beeindruckende Gebirgslandschaft des größten Naturschutzgebietes der Nördlichen Kalkalpen, ist die Eng zu einem beliebten Ausflugsziel und zum Ausgangspunkt vieler Bergwanderungen geworden. Auf der größten Melkalm Tirols wird die weidefrische Milch an Ort und Stelle verarbeitet. Ein Almdorf zum Erforschen, Aufsteigen, Höhenluft schnuppern, Spielen, Streicheln, Genießen, Zurückziehen, Bleiben…Und (darauf ist man besonders stolz) zum Probieren und mit nach Hause nehmen! Nämlich, u. a., der – in der Schaukäserei selbstgemachte – mehrfach prämierte Bergkäse.
