The Drehhütte - South Tyrolean specialties at 1,250 m
The Drehhütte in Schwangau has always been a very popular destination (walking time about 1 hour) for tourists as well as locals. The South Tyrolean hut master has transformed the former whetstone maker's hut into a South Tyrolean culinary oasis right in the middle of Ostallgäu. The path leads along a wide and well-developed forest road. The impressive views along the route over the Schwangau region make the ascent a true experience. Once at the top, the hut chef treats you to original Vinschgau specialties. These delicacies, combined with the stunning location of the hut, create a rustic and extraordinary experience.
- No card payments are possible.
- There are no overnight accommodations at the Drehhütte.
- There is no sled rental or horse-drawn carriage/sled rides.
