Rooms
The accommodation is divided into simple mattress dormitories with a total of 65 beds, a double room with bed linen and a quiet five-bed room in traditional SAC dormitories. A winter room is available outside of the serviced period. There are blankets and pillows in the camps, but hut sleeping bags are obligatory; if you don't have one, you can hire one on site. Washrooms with cold water and toilets are available indoors; there are no showers. Reservations are preferably made via the SAC online reservation system, or at short notice by telephone via the hut telephone +41 81 862 23 22. Due to the lack of cell phone reception, the hut is not suitable for spontaneous digital arrangements, but in the evening the sleeping rooms are typically quiet. Payment is possible in Swiss francs in cash or by card; there is no ATM in Guarda, but only in larger towns in the valley.Food and drink
The kitchen prepares simple but hearty mountain hut dishes and cold platters, complemented by Engadine specialties such as nut cake, salsiz, bacon and cheese. For overnight guests, there is a fixed evening menu as part of the half-board package, with marching tea provided for the next day.Sleeping beds
