Die Almhütte ist im Sommer ein beliebter Einkehrort für Wanderer, Mountainbiker und Erholungssuchende, die auf dem Hausberg von Bruneck unterwegs sind. Von der Bergstation Kronplatz ist es nur ein kleiner Spaziergang bis zur Hütte, aus diesem Grund ist sie auch ein beliebtes Ausflugsziel für Familien.
Schneesicherheit, gut preparierte Pisten, moderne Aufstiegsanlagen und ein einmaliges 360°-Panorama machen den Kronplatz im Winter zu etwas ganz besonderem. Die Kronplatzhütte ist dabei ein idealer Einkehrort für Skifahrer und Snowboarder.
