Einfache Unterkunft unterhalb des Cindrel-Gipfels. Keine regelmäßigen Öffnungszeiten gegeben. Es existiert ein ganzjährig geöffneter Winterraum mit sechs Betten und einem Holzofen.

Wasser kann östlich der Hütte an einem Bachlauf entnommen werden. Der Hüttenwirt, Doru Podia, pflegt die Cabana und wer ihn antreffen möchte, sollte sich vorher erkundigen, ob die Hütte geöffnet ist.

Das Gelände um die Hütte ist abschüssig. Ein relativ ebener Platz für zwei Zelte existiert etwas oberhalb der Hütte unter Tannen.
