Der Biwakplatz ist jeweils von April bis Oktober geöffnet.
Der Schneeberg-Biwak liegt am Ortsrand von Sněžník, idyllisch am Fuße des Schneebergs direkt am Waldrand. Er wurde 2025 vom Betreiber des Campingplatzes in Ostrov eröffnet, um Naturliebhabern eine Alternative zum Campingplatz zu bieten.

Der privat betriebene Biwakplatz kann in der Forststeig-Saison von April bis Oktober genutzt werden. Im Umkreis der Schutzhütte ist in dieser Zeit das Zelten mit bis zu 5 Zweipersonenzelten in der Zeit von 16:00 Uhr nachmittags bis 10:00 Uhr gestattet. Für die Nutzung ist ein Pflegebeitrag durch Entwertung von Trekkingtickets zu entrichten. Weitere 5 Zelt-Stellplätze können über die tschechische App dokempu.cz gebucht werden.

Der Schneeberg-Biwak hat folgende Ausstattung:

  • 1 Schutzhütte
  • Stellfläche für bis zu 5 Zweipersonenzelte
  • 1 Komposttoilette
