Der Gipfel am östlichen Beginn des langen Bergkamms der ersten Säntiskette zeigt zwei Gesichter. Sanft und mit einem bequemen Serpentinenweg versehen von Osten, schroff und scheinbar unnahbar von Westen. Einmalig sind die Blicke auf den sich schier endlos aufschwingenen Felsgrat in Richtung Säntis und die Tiefblicke zum Seealpsee und ins Weissbachtal. Am Gipfel steht das gleichnamige Berggasthaus.
