Die Berggaststätte Karwendel liegt auf 2.244 m und befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nähe der Karwendelbahn Bergstation. Auf der Sonnenterrasse oder in der Gaststube genießt man deftige Brotzeiten, warme Gerichte und Getränke. Entspannen Sie sich danach in einem der kostenlosen Liegestühle oder besuchen Sie das Natur-Informationszentrum. In Form eines riesigen Fernrohrs ragt es über die Felskante in Richtung Mittenwald hinaus. Tolles Ausflugsziel für Familien.
Zugang
Die Bergaststätte erreicht man entweder bequem mit der Karwendelbahn oder zu Fuß über das Dammkar und ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für viele Gipfelbesteigungen, Bergtouren und den Mittenwalder Höhenweg. Im Winter ist der Panorama-Rundweg bis zum Aussichtspunkt „Passamani“ geräumt.
