Die am Südrand des Thüringer Waldes gelegene Bergbaude eignet sich hervorragend als stärkender Zwischenstopp auf Fahrrad- oder Wandertouren in die Umgebung der Waffenstadt Suhl sowie als lohnendes Ausflugsziel zum Genuss feiner Thüringer Waldkulinarik. Auf der hauseigenen Sonnenterrasse mit herrlichem Blick auf den Thüringer Wald kann man den Tag bei einem frischgezapften Bier ausklingen lassen. Erschöpften Ausflüglern bieten darüber hinaus 3 gemütliche Doppel- und 1 großzügiges Familienzimmer eine erholsame Nachtruhe.
