Der Name dieser Sehenswürdigkeit kommt von den Zuchtebern, genannt »Bären«, die in der Zeit der Waldweide hierher zur Eichelmast getrieben wurden. Um die Bärlochhütte stehen interessante alte Bäume (Beispielsweise die Bärlocheiche mit einem Stammumfang von circa 4,30 Metern ). Man findet hier verschiedene Erholungseinrichtungen wie Rastplätze mit Grillstelle, Schutzhütten und einen Spielplatz mit Spielwiese.
