Das Alpgebiet von Spilau liegt zwischen 1750 und 2100 m ü. M. auf dem Territorium der Gemeinde Sisikon. Umgeben ist die Alp Spilau von den Bergen Hundstock, Spilauerstock und Rossstock. In einer Mulde im Alpgebiet liegt der malerische Spilauersee.
Spilau ist im Sommer sehr beliebt als Wandergebiet und wird im Winter oftmals von Skitourenfahrern als Ausgangspunkt für verschiedene Touren genutzt.
